UYAK “5TH INTERNATIONAL UNDERGROUND EXCAVATIONS SYMPOSIUM AND EXHIBITION”

UYAK2023, the 5^th International Underground Excavations Symposium and Exhibition, will be held in Istanbul on 5-6-7 June 2023, with the cooperation of the TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers Istanbul Branch and the Department of Rail Systems of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

The theme of UYAK2023 has been determined as “Cities of the Future, Urban Tunnelling and Underground Excavations.”

The symposium logo is formed by the combination of the Galata Tower, which is one of the landmarks of Istanbul, the “Tünel,” the world’s second subway, which was built in 1875, passing under the Galata Tower, and the TBM, the tunnelling machine.
